Warehouse XI Wedding Photographer | Flourish Workshop | Somerville, MA

Last weekend I attended The Flourish Workshop in Somerville at the Warehouse XI venue.  This workshop was about blogging, social media, finances, creative direction and the ins and outs of a Styled Shoot and how to properly photograph it.  One of my main goals is to put myself on a successful track to becoming a full time photographer.  What an honor to learn from these four ladies:

Shannon Grant Photography
Emily Tebbetts Photography
Kelly Golia Events
Gabi Vallardes

I walked away learning the ins and outs  of posting all at once on social media, to blogging regularly and knowing when it is a good time to take the leap with my business especially with my finances in a good spot.  I LOVE learning about the business side of any business.  First thing I will be changing is my pricing.  I’ll be offering several packages so my clients can pick the best option that works for them.  In addition,  I’ll start  using a platform to post all of my social media and plan posts ahead of time.  With Baby Pidg on the way, my time will shift to our baby so putting good habits to use now will help me down the road.  Less than 3 months to go and I STILL have SO MUCH TO DO.  Good thing I’m nesting and getting things done!

I honestly can’t thank these ladies enough.  I feel more confident in myself as a business owner.  They gave me so many tools to set me up for success, especially with Baby Pidg on the way.  I would also like to thank the vendors we worked with on the photoshoot for their contribution:
